Shaina grew up in Alaska, in a family and community that cherishes the biblical testimony. She is a Registered Nurse who seeks to be deeply rooted in the Word as she cares for people. Newly married to Nathan, she is resting in the surprising joy of marriage, even as she completes her MA at Regent College. Through her New Testament studies at Regent she seeks to more effectively minister the Word, by proclamation and in every-day living.
Marion was born in Edmonton, Alberta and is the oldest of 7 children. She has worked as a teacher, an Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship staff, a house director for a home of at-risk teens, as Executive Director of Genesis Vancouver, and now works for St John’s Vancouver as Service and Facilities Coordinator. Marion has been involved in leading Bible studies and speaking at retreats, Women’s Conferences and other women’s events over the last many years. She is a big dog lover and also enjoys gardening, reading, hosting people for a meal.
Diane Tucker grew up in Vancouver, where she earned a B.F.A. from the University of B.C. She is the author of three books of poetry — God on His Haunches (Nightwood Editions, 1996), Bright Scarves of Hours, (Palimpsest Press, 2007) Bonsai Love (Harbour Publishing, 2014) — and a young adult novel, His Sweet Favour (Thistledown Press, 2009). When not writing, she enjoys singing in her church choir, being involved in a women’s Bible study, and volunteering with Vancouver’s Pacific Theatre.
